Meet the Club Members
Seth Duncan
Club President
Originally from Northern Nevada, Seth grew up on the high desert on the family cattle ranch. For the past two summers, Seth worked in San Benito County, outside of Tres Pinos, CA. He ran sheep and cattle in a holistic grazing operation, which utilized livestock to create firebreaks in unutilized sections of vineyards.
Maddie Terlap
Club Vice President
Maddie is a transfer student originally from Illinois and has help multiple field restoration technician positions. Maddie served two seasons as a crew member and then crew lead with Arizona Conservation Corp before transferring to U of A. They are currently a student range technician for the Arizona Experimental Station's Ruyle Lab on the Santa Rita Experimental Range.
Doan Goolsby
Tierra Seca Student Advisor
Doan is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a degree in Rangeland Management. He is researching the use of machine learning models to predict the spread of Cenchrus ciliaris (Buffelgrass) and Oncosiphon piluliferum (Stinknet) in southern Arizona. He works in the Social Ecological Systems Lab with Dr. Aaron Lien and the Trait-Based Functional Ecology Lab with Dr. Rachel Mitchell.
Dakota Baden
Fundraising Board Member
Dakota works as a Range Technician in the Wild Horse Program within the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest.
Brian Muha
Fundraising Board Member
Brian serves as a Wildland Firefighter and Range Technician for the U.S. Forest Service. He also holds the position of Rangeland Technician at the Arizona Experimental Station's Ruyle Lab on the Santa Rita Experimental Range
Noah Sygrove
Noah works as a Rangeland Pathways intern in the Sierra Vista Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest.
Andres Martinez
Andres is part of the Next Generation Rangers Internship Program at Saguaro National Park.
Olivia Sancic
Olivia Works as a Field Assistant for Alessandra Gorlier at the Santa Rita Experimental Range, as well as working for Laura Lopez Hoffman working with nepacess.
Brandi Obergon
Brandi is a Pathways Intern with the Inyo National Forest, and she holds the role of Student Range Technician for the Arizona Experimental Station's Ruyle Lab on the Santa Rita Experimental Range
Club Advisor
Dr. Aaron Lien
Dr. Aaron Lien is an Assistant Professor of Rangeland Ecology and Adaptive Management at the University of Arizona. His research addresses challenges in Social Ecological Systems (SESs) and integrates human behavior theories and governance frameworks, alongside interdisciplinary expertise in climate science and rangeland management.

Worked as a student lead for the Santa Rita Experimental range. Currently a wildland firefighter in the black hills national forest.
