"Take care of the land and the land will take care of you"

Tierra Seca is the University of Arizona's student chapter of the Society for Range Management. Rangelands are arid and semi-arid areas that are naturally dominated by herbaceous species, shrubs, and cacti. These areas have the potential to be grazed and are kept primarily as natural ecosystems.

As a club, we provide the opportunity to participate in activities including outdoor recreation, professional development, volunteering, and fundraising. Tierra Seca allows members the opportunity to attend conferences and meetings of larger rangeland organizations and compete in a variety of undergraduate competitions. Tierra Seca provides a forum for people to come together with common interests, professional development, and volunteer on natural resource projects in the dynamic Southwest.
